Artist Bio

Jewel Simmons is an Fine Silver Art Jewelry maker and Abstract Expressionist painter.
Recently she has developed techniques to shape fine silver by tearing, folding and piercing the metal — resulting in an organic and modern new style of signature jewelry — Purely Torn Metal ™️ Fine Silver Pendants.
The daughter of an engineer, fine detail work comes naturally. “My father was always repairing clocks and watches, and my mother is a creative, crafts oriented person. We were always doing something with our hands.”
Previously her career included 35 years in graphic arts and publishing in both the Philadelphia and Boston areas.
Jewel moved to South Carolina in order to convert a barn into her studio. “I feel like I’ve come home to everything I love.”
