Feast Your Eyes | Celebrating the Food of the South
Grand Strand Magazine | June – July 2017
Food & Wine | Quickbite | pgs. 152-153

Coming June 10, the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum is celebrating our Southern culinary heritage with the new exhibit, Feast Your Eyes | Celebrating the Food of the South

Food and beverage icons, peculiar and particular to the South, will be examined with works in an expansive variety of two- and three- dimensional media. These objects – more than 100 works created by 58 artists, some historic and many contemporary – will invite viewers to explore the confluence of the three distinct foodways (Native American, African and European).

Pictured here are just a few of the images you will find. Feast Your Eyes | Celebrating the Food of the South will be on exhibit at the art museum June 10 through September 17, 2017.
