Art is…sometimes my breath, sometimes my tears. When I was young, I realized that I could make people smile with my silly art. Later, that I could make people think with the things I created. My art is how I perceive the world. I work to find my voice. I hope others hear my voice. I hope my work brings connectivity. Political, environmental, emotional or just fun; I use recycled & found materials to create my work. I was early influenced by the writing of E. L. Kongisburg & the sculpture of Michelangelo, the colors of Kandinsky and the passion of Basquiat. I am torn between monochromatic and in living color! Sometimes I start a piece one way, and it ends completely the other. I am good with that. It is the creative process that takes hold, and in the end, it is how it should have always been.
