First and foremost, I am a Kentuckian. I chose to raise my children, and now my grandchildren, in the Bardstown area. An avid horsewoman and artist, I raised and trained horses at my Brookfield Farm in Bardstown, then studied art at Memphis College of Art, as well as in France, England, and Africa. Returning to Kentucky, I was professor of art at St. Catharine College in Springfield for over 20 years. After the college closed, I relocated to South Carolina, teaching art at Coastal Carolina University….but Kentucky will always be in my heart.

Settling in the Market Common in a small studio apartment, I have fallen in love with the micro-community out my window. It is an artist’s dream to be stimulated by art, music, and great food nestled in a beautifully landscaped setting. I take my little Jack Russell dogs to the beach almost every day and meet the most interesting people.

I continue to exhibit and sell my paintings in the Kentucky Bourbon country, combining race horse imagery of the Kentucky Derby and Bardstown’s bourbon distillers, making it the Bourbon Capital of the World.
