|After retiring from a teaching career, Carolyn Powell began to follow her passion for art. She works in a variety of mediums, but prefers acrylics. Her works are shown at local shows and in the Banner Elk Artist Gallery (NC). The Surfside resident is the author of three books and currently serves as President of the Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild.|
