I have always been an artist.  Even as a child I had an affinity for the beauty in nature.  But it wasn’t until 10 years ago that I found a way to express that inner longing to create beauty.  When my youngest child went off to college I had time to pursue my own creative interests and an opportunity arose to take an oil painting class.

Learning new things is a passion for me and I love studying art.  For me, studying art is not about art appreciation, but about practice.  Just as a pianist must practice, practice, practice,  I too am continually practicing and learning.  My signature style is a goal I am working toward.  So that just like my handwriting, expressing myself through painting will just come naturally.

I want my work to evoke an emotion in the viewer, for them to pause a moment and reflect on the beauty in their life.
