Artists Statement

It is the challenge of conveying an emotion to the viewer that constantly drives me.  Weaving vibrant colors and texture through my paintings helps achieve that goal.  Additional interests are landscapes depicting the Carolina coastal marshes and connecting with their life and beauty. Also still life compositions that depict a vivid path of light.

Influences:  Mark Rothko, Claude Monet, Robert Motherwell
