Vittorio Santini

Vittorio Santini

In his paintings, Santini works to transmit the messages of expressive feelings and spiritual attachments for “love of life” and all its mysteries.

Santini is an “action” artist – painting whatever he feels at the moment.  He considers himself an” Abstract Expressionist,” with a strong relationship to the “folk art school.” The medium Santini uses is oil on canvas, and he is attracted to bright colors.

Santini is an Italian-born American citizen. He is a self-taught artist who, after 35 years of collecting and appreciating fine arts, became involved in painting himself.

Santini has been a member of the Watchung Arts Center in New Jersey for over 20 years. He is also a member of Myrtle Beach’s Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum and has been a participating artist in the Art Museum’s Collectors’ Event for several years.

He was also a former professional soccer player who grew up with the Lucchese S.S. of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. Santini has traveled extensively in Canada, Argentina and the United States. A previous resident of New Jersey, he has now retired to Myrtle Beach, SC where he enjoys painting for pleasure and serenity.

His work is collected throughout the United States and Canada. He is a member of the Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild and has had several exhibitions at the Palmetto Studio, Gallery on 8th, the Collector’s Cafe and the Round Table Group. He also had a successful one-man show at the Sunset River Art Gallery in Calabash, NC.

Myrtle Beach’s Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum strives to be one of the finest visual arts museums in the Carolinas. With 11 galleries that change throughout the year, Myrtle Beach’s only art museum offers exhibitions featuring paintings, textiles, sculpture, photography, video, ceramics, assemblage, collage and more.
