Polly Turner, a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Philadelphia College of Art, has lived on South Carolina’s northern coast since 2012. Her artwork captures the spaciousness, energy, and warmth of local landscapes, showcasing their flora and fauna through digital photography, drawing, and painting. She taught art at the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, Pa. Her work has been exhibited at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, Seacoast Artists Gallery, and William Miller Gallery in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; City Gallery in Charleston, S.C.; Artfields in Lake City, S.C.; the FCM Waters Gallery in Florence, S.C.; the Contemporary Art Exchange (2019 Elmwood Invitational) in Washington, N.C.; Art of the Image 2019 juried photographic media competition and exhibition, Verazzanno Gallery, theArtWorks, Wilmington, N.C.; Dalton Gallery in Rock Hill, S.C.; and the Gallery @ 5th & Water, Charlottesville, Va., among other venues.
