I, Yelena Liberman, am originally from Ukraine. Immigrated to America in 1992 with my daughter Anna, who was only 4 yrs old at the time. We landed in NYC on Oct.11th with two bags of possessions, not knowing English, not having anyone waiting on us but strongly believing that everything is going to be OK. We had reached the Promise Land!
Over the years I have worked in insurance, finance, accounting, real estate fields but have always felt the strong pull to reconnect with my artistic side.
I am an entirely self taught artist. I started painting later in life simply wanting to feel young and adventurous by trying new things and also wanting to bring some color into my home just the way I wanted and what started as a hobby has transformed into a passion and I am finally in the place of my life when I’m able to balance my real estate agent life with my artist life. When I paint – I feel like I’m immersing myself into a different world, away from everyday struggles and into another dimension of beauty and creativity. Creating art is like hitting a much needed reset button for me. I don’t just want to paint. I NEED to paint. I hope you enjoyed my work and Thank you for checking out my profile!
