Grand Strand Collects

September 28 – December 14, 2017

Little is known of the incredible art collections that grace our Grand Strand’s shores. Grand Strand Collects brings to light not only the caliber of art in these collections but also pays homage to the art enthusiasts who collect them. The exhibition is comprised of over 200 works of art borrowed from 48 private Grand Strand collections varying from ancient Egyptian artifacts and historical prints to modern and contemporary sculpture and paintings. In addition to the art, visitors will enjoy reading accompanying labels that include remarks from the collectors explaining how they acquired the art and why.
