The Villa | A Myrtle Beach Story
From Historic Villa to Beloved Art Museum
Discover the rich history of one of Myrtle Beach’s most iconic buildings in The Villa | A Myrtle Beach Story. The Villa | A Myrtle Beach Story began as a digital campaign, “100 Days of History,” created to celebrate the building’s centennial. Former staff member Karen Olson compiled the rich narrative, while Planning Coordinator William H. Miller brought it to life on social media. Together, their efforts unearthed archival treasures and personal recollections that turned this local story into a powerful tribute to our community. This book traces the Villa’s journey and captures the passion, people and vision that made the Art Museum a reality.
