Horry-County-native Sherry Strickland Martin specializes in drawing, painting and mixed media. She received her BA in Studio Art at Limestone College in 1982. As a fine artist, Martin has taught workshops and shown her work in galleries and museums throughout the Southeast. In 2007, she moved Myrtle Beach to start a new career teaching visual arts at St. James High School in Murrells Inlet. Martin continues to produce her own work, specializing in watercolors, while teaching.
